What you will do

• Perform safety and non-safety certification inspections and audits of quality systems in the field.
• Analyze examination and test results against UL requirements to determine compliance.
• Review manufacturers' production, inspection, and shipping programs to ensure products are marked correctly.
• Communicate with manufacturers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction to conduct inspections and investigate mark misuse.
• Use precision instruments such as micrometers and voltmeters to conduct physical inspections.
• Document variations and test results using standardized forms and maintain scheduling logs.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or equivalent technical certification.
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Midland, Michigan area.
• General electronics background and strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read schematic diagrams.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally for daily client visits within the Midland area.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions.
• Ability to work at heights.

Nice to have

• Experience in Field Engineering, Compliance, or Quality Engineering.
• ASQ certification.
• Experience with UL Standards 508A and Industrial Control Panels.
• Lightning Protection experience.
