TL;DR

Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States)
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 Annually

What you will do
- Architect and develop UI components using React, Redux, TypeScript, and VA.gov design libraries.
- Optimize backend systems in Ruby on Rails, including RESTful APIs, JSON controllers, and Sidekiq workers.
- Implement AI/LLM workflows, RAG pipelines, vector search, and model orchestration in AWS.
- Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers while fostering high‑quality engineering practices.
- Ensure performance, security, scalability, and Section 508 accessibility compliance across the full stack.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Advanced proficiency in React, Redux, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
- Experience building and optimizing RESTful APIs within distributed systems.
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting the VA, VA.gov architecture, or other federal agencies.
- Familiarity with federal enterprise systems such as CorpDB, MPI, BDN, and VBMS.
- Experience deploying AI or ML features in FedRAMP or government environments.
