Salary: $108,000 - $140,000 per year

What you will do

• Ship full-stack features across Rails, React, and GraphQL codebases.
• Own features end-to-end from scoping and definition through testing, rollout, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to refine early concepts.
• Debug production issues and communicate problems methodically to the team.
• Contribute to architecture and documentation while advocating for testing and tech debt reduction.
• Take ownership of the health and performance of the team's services.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Solid fundamentals in Ruby/Rails and JavaScript/React.
• Understanding of web architecture and thoughtful API design.
• Strong communication skills for scoping and explaining technical tradeoffs.
• Must be based in Chicago, IL for hybrid office attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI workflows.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with Datadog, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
