TL;DR

Senior Scientist, Analytical Development (Biotech): Developing and characterizing clinical-scale manufacturing of allogeneic CAR T-cell therapies with an accent on analytical methods for characterization, release, and stability testing. Focus on executing multicolor flow cytometry, cell-based potency assays, and molecular assays to support GMP manufacturing.

Location: South San Francisco, CA. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: $135,000 – $160,000 per year

What you will do

  • Execute robust multicolor flow cytometry methods, cell-based potency assays, and molecular assays for CAR T product characterization.
  • Provide analytical support for Process Characterization and BLA-enabling activities.
  • Manage qualification of in-process and release methods and perform tech transfer internally and externally for GMP manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with CART Research and Process Development groups to ensure effective communication and productive interactions.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and technical reports to support regulatory filings.
  • Present data and strategies to internal scientists and management.

Requirements

  • PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field with 2+ years of experience, or BS/MS with equivalent industry experience.
  • Laboratory experience in multi-parametric flow cytometry, cell-based cytotoxicity, proliferation assays, and cytokine measurements.
  • Hands-on expertise in processing human PBMCs and analyzing CAR-T cell subsets and subpopulations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with cGMPs and relevant Regulatory Guidance documents.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for a collaborative environment.
