Field Service Engineer (Solar Energy)

Location: Must be based in the Phoenix, AZ area and involves significant regional travel, typically 4 to 5 days per week.

Salary: Hourly rate of $32.00 to $33.00.

What you will do

• Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and analyze hirify.global's utility inverters in the field.
• Develop a detailed knowledge of SMA's utility inverter products and associated accessories.
• Maintain accurate inventory count of spare parts provided by SMA.
• Perform and maintain maintenance activities in accordance with the SMA product maintenance manual.
• Work with high voltage DC electricity, three phase power, and relevant software and firmware of the inverters.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while striving to lower the costs of field service.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in electrical, electronic, and/or network communications.
• Prior experience in the solar energy industry is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is strongly preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of solar and/or alternative energy markets preferred.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
