What you will do

• Establish scalable global payroll processes across domestic and international jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships, onboarding, and performance of third-party international payroll vendors.
• Perform end-to-end reconciliation of payroll-related balance sheet accounts and general ledger alignment.
• Ensure global compliance with tax withholdings, statutory filings, and local employment regulations.
• Implement payroll automation tools to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Finance on equity events, benefit programs, and organizational changes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive payroll experience, ideally with a mix of global operations.
• Proven track record of managing international payroll providers across multiple countries.
• Expertise in reconciling payroll-related balance sheet accounts (accrued compensation, tax liabilities).
• Proficiency with payroll platforms such as ADP, Workday, or Rippling.
• Deep understanding of multi-country payroll compliance and statutory requirements.
• Must be based in the US or able to work in PST time zone.

Nice to have

• CPP or equivalent certification.
• Experience in early-stage or high-growth startups.
• Background in consumer technology, e-commerce, or hardware.
