What you will do

• Conduct individual and group alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions.
• Develop and revise comprehensive patient treatment plans and maintain detailed records.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate care with community providers.
• Perform intake and readmission services, offering supportive follow-up counseling.
• Orient patients to treatment program operations and procedures.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in human services or a related field.
• Valid counseling license or credential (tLAC, LAC, PLPC, LPC, LMAC, LMSW in Kansas or CADC, CRADC, Master Level in Missouri).
• Location: Must be based in Kansas City, KS.
• Knowledge of substance abuse populations and treatment planning.
• Ability to make sound decisions regarding confidential and sensitive issues.
• Capacity to handle stressful situations and react quickly to patient needs.
