What you will do

• Provide legal advice on equity-linked derivatives transactions, including delta-one and non-delta-one products.
• Draft, negotiate, and execute derivatives and financing transaction documents.
• Identify, escalate, and communicate legal issues to senior members of the legal department.
• Collaborate with business teams and control functions to identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
• Instruct, work with, and manage external counsel.

Requirements

• 3–10 years of experience in equity derivatives at a leading law firm or large financial institution.
• J.D. degree and active membership in good standing of the New York State Bar.
• Experience with complex equity-linked derivatives products, including issuer products such as ASRs, call-spread overlays, and VPFs.
• Experience with ISDA architecture and documentation, U.S. securities laws, broker-dealer regulations, Exchange Act rules, and some Title VII.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and commercial judgment skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative approach, strong work ethic, and personal accountability.
