Middle Backend Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python 3.11, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Build reliable and performant systems with MySQL and Redis.
• Develop and improve RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Business teams to deliver features and automate back-office workflows.
• Investigate production issues, identify bottlenecks, improve scalability, and reduce technical debt.
• Contribute to architecture, CI/CD pipelines, internal tooling, and development processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong Python skills and experience with Django or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of relational databases, caching, backend systems, REST APIs, and service development.
• Ability to own tasks, work independently, communicate clearly, and solve problems.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD practices, and modern development workflows.
• English at B2 level or higher and fluent Russian.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, regulated industries, or internal B2B tools.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Open-source contributions or personal side projects.
