Federal Solution Architect

TL;DR

Federal Solution Architect: Provide hands-on technical sales support and architect secure collaboration solutions for U.S. Defense and Intelligence customers with an accent on compliance mandates and classified deployments. Focus on translating requirements into architectures, leading demos and POCs, and designing integrations with DevSecOps tools.

Location: Remote from anywhere in the U.S. U.S. citizenship required; must be eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance. Up to 25-40% travel to customer sites.

Salary: $225,000 - $250,000 USD

What you will do

• Serve as primary technical resource for U.S. Defense and IC customers, leading discovery sessions, demos, architecture reviews, and POCs.
• Translate customer requirements including FedRAMP, IL4/IL5/IL6, DISA SRG, and Zero Trust into hirify.global solution architectures.
• Partner with Account Executives on technical win strategies for new and expansion opportunities.
• Act as trusted advisor for existing accounts, supporting deployments, integrations, and escalations in on-prem, air-gapped, and private cloud environments.
• Design reference architectures for DoD/IC infrastructure like Platform One and Big Bang.
• Enable partners with technical knowledge for positioning, deploying, and supporting hirify.global.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales role focused on U.S. Federal/Defense/IC customers.
• Deep knowledge of federal IT environments, on-prem/air-gapped/classified networks.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, DISA SRG (IL4/IL5/IL6), NIST 800-53, CMMC, Zero Trust.
• Hands-on with Linux, Kubernetes/OpenShift (Platform One/Big Bang), container deployments.
• Networking, identity management (SAML/SSO/LDAP), PostgreSQL, DevSecOps toolchains.
• Ability to write integrations/automations in Python, Go, or JavaScript; REST APIs/webhooks.
• Excellent communication skills; self-starter in remote-first environment.
• U.S. citizenship; security clearance eligibility.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. security clearance (Secret+ or TS/SCI).
• Experience with DoD Platform One or IC deployments.
• hirify.global or similar platforms (Wickr, Jabber, etc.).
• Background in secure messaging, C2 systems, or OT.
• Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, CKA/CKAD, CISSP, Security+.
