What you will do

• Design scalable, high-availability application solutions using the Rocket Enterprise Portfolio.
• Lead technical engagements and provide guidance to customer business, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Conduct proof-of-concept technology analysis and pilots to validate modernization strategies.
• Enable and align consulting partners with Rocket's mainframe modernization methodology.
• Produce technical content such as blogs, whitepapers, and presentations for major conferences.
• Establish standards and patterns for the modernization of mainframe legacy environments.

Requirements

• 4 to 10 years of experience leading mainframe and legacy modernization initiatives.
• Advanced Technical Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Deep knowledge of major Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 for z/OS, IMS DB/DC, and Assembler.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Professional, Microsoft AZURE Solution Architect, or SAFe.
• Experience configuring automation pipelines in GitHub, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with TDD, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD) practices.
