Salary: $180,000 - $275,000 USD

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a small agile full-stack team delivering tailored capabilities for US national security on the hirify.global platform.
• Own end-to-end engineering lifecycle: requirements gathering from field, architecture, development, testing, and release.
• Collaborate directly with customers and forward-deployed engineers to translate operational needs into executable work.
• Interface professionally with US national security customers, managing expectations and communicating technical trade-offs.
• Maintain full-stack perspective across frontend, backend, and infrastructure; champion AI tools like Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot.
• Manage team health with 1:1s, hiring, onboarding, and providing estimates to stakeholders; travel 1-2 weeks per quarter.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related; 5+ years software engineering, 2+ years engineering management/tech lead.
• Proven full-stack experience (e.g., React frontend, Go/Node.js backend).
• Experience leading small agile teams in high-stakes environments.
• Direct customer-facing technical experience; strong communication for distributed teams.
• Proficiency with AI/LLM tools and commitment to their adoption.
• US citizenship; reside in US; eligible for US security clearance (Secret preferred); meet export control (EAR/ITAR).
