Sr. Manager, Cloud Engineering (AI)

Focus on leading code reviews, driving architecture discussions, and owning operational readiness while expanding and developing the engineering team.

Location: Hybrid role based out of our offices in Redmond, WA, Sunnyvale, CA, Austin, TX, or NYC with an expectation of being in the office at least 2 days per week.

Salary: $160,000 - $250,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package.

What you will do

• Shape, grow, and scale an early-stage team.
• Lead code reviews, architecture discussions, and operational readiness reviews.
• Define and drive the technical direction for significant components of our next-generation cloud architecture.
• Partner closely with desktop agent and AI teams.
• Own and deliver large-scale, cross-functional engineering projects.
• Hire, develop, and retain exceptional engineers and foster a strong engineering culture.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineers, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Hands-on experience building and operating high-volume, highly resilient Tier-1 cloud services and systems.
• Strong knowledge of Go, Java, or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to own and deliver large, complex engineering projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate complex technical ideas in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Experience managing machine learning (ML) or data engineering teams.
• Experience scaling and developing an early-stage engineering team, building on an existing foundation rather than starting from zero.
