Product Owner (Automotive)

Location: Leeds, UK; typically hybrid, combining office and remote working

hirify.global provides software and data products supporting the vehicle lifecycle through its CAP HPI product organisation.

What you will do

• Own and continuously refine the backlog for one or more CAP HPI product areas.
• Develop epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on customer and business outcomes.
• Prioritise work using customer value, business impact, risk, and effort trade-offs.
• Run backlog refinement and support Scrum or Kanban ceremonies, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, UX, Analytics, Support, and commercial stakeholders to deliver valuable increments.
• Manage cross-team dependencies, support release readiness, and use analytics, customer feedback, and incident trends to improve products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in an equivalent product delivery role within an agile software environment.
• Ability to translate customer and stakeholder needs into structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience prioritising work and making decisions with imperfect information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and agile delivery practices.
• Comfort discussing APIs, integrations, data flows, performance, resilience, security, and other non-functional requirements with technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with data products or the automotive domain, including vehicle identification, valuations, provenance, history, or risk signals.
• Experience in a global or multi-country organisation with distributed stakeholders.
• Understanding of incident management, availability monitoring, technical debt, product discovery, and outcome-based roadmapping.
• PSPO, SAFe POPM, or another relevant certification.
