What you will do

• Lead AI transformation across business domains, identifying high-impact opportunities and shaping the roadmap.
• Build and lead specialist teams to ship end-to-end AI products from problem framing to production.
• Design and ship advanced AI systems with LLMs, agents, RAG, and orchestration for high-volume production workflows.
• Define AI engineering best practices including evaluation, observability, cost control, governance, and maintainability.
• Hire, mentor, and grow AI engineers while fostering ownership and high velocity.
• Advise senior leadership on AI strategy, feasibility, timelines, and costs.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering with hands-on Python experience building scalable production systems (event-driven architectures, microservices, APIs, databases).
• Deep experience designing and shipping production AI systems: LLM apps, agentic workflows, RAG, fine-tuning, orchestration (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, DSPy).
• Grasp of modern AI stack: foundation model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google), vector DBs, evaluation, prompt engineering, inference optimization.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability for AI workloads.
• Strong product sense, stakeholder management, prioritization for business impact.
• Track record leading projects across teams, hiring, and mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic systems or AI automation replacing human workflows at scale.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms (LangSmith, Langfuse, Weights & Biases, MLFlow) and applied ML (recommenders, ranking, search).
• Side projects, open-source, or published work in applied AI.
