Electrical Engineer (Built Asset Consultancy)

Electrical Engineer (Built Asset Consultancy): Undertake feasibility studies, detailed design of electrical services, condition surveys, and site monitoring for built environment projects across public, commercial, and education sectors with an accent on RIBA Stages 0-4 and technical client advice. Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working). Majority of work in the Midlands. Full UK driving licence required. Willing to travel depending on project locations.

What you will do

• Undertake project feasibility studies and detailed technical design of electrical services from RIBA Stages 0-4.
• Produce technical drawings, full electrical tender packages, and condition surveys including pre-acquisition and dilapidation.
• Monitor electrical works on site, report on conformity and quality, and provide technical advice to clients and contractors.
• Support internal project teams, develop commercial strategies, and contribute to growing the in-region M&E service.
• Comply with environmental, health, safety, security, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (majority Midlands-based).
• BSc Electrical Engineering degree (minimum) and recognised M&E qualification; Chartered (MCIBSE or equivalent) or willing to obtain.
• Track record in similar role or site engineering with understanding of electrical design RIBA 0-4, asset surveying, and technical due diligence.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with tablets and relevant software like Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and commercial skills; proactive, organised, and team-oriented.
