Senior Software Engineer (Scala)

What you will do

• Lead system analysis and programming to deliver high-quality software into production for critical banking domains.
• Develop, test, and review applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Own the entire deliverable lifecycle, from defining scope with product managers to production support.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the timely delivery of secure and high-performance products.
• Create technical documentation and contribute to the overall product architecture.
• Research and recommend innovative technologies to improve software development processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in back-end development.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience with Scala programming.
• At least 1 year of experience deploying and supporting services in production.
• Ability to work between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Central Time (Monday through Friday).
• Must be based in the US; ineligible for immigration sponsorship (H-1B, PERM).

Nice to have

• Experience with functional programming and the Typelevel Stack (http4s, doobie, cats, cats-effect).
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and Continuous Integration pipelines.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Go or Rust.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
