What you will do

  • Design, test, and commission crane control systems for legacy, EOT, and portal cranes.
  • Select components, develop automation programs, and create system layouts and documentation.
  • Generate architecture and network drawings for automation projects.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute projects from inquiry through start-up, meeting budget targets.
  • Test systems, troubleshoot control programs, and update existing ones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
  • 3-5+ years as Automation Engineer with motion/motor control, electricity, circuits, analog/digital I/O.
  • Experience designing/troubleshooting motor controls with electromagnetic devices and VFDs.
  • Proficiency in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming software.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal/written communication for interfacing with sales, customers, production, and project management.
