Wiring Designer (AutoCAD): Translating electrical schematics into detailed point-to-point wiring diagrams and control panel layouts with an accent on accuracy, self-checks, and manufacturability. Focus on producing diagrams using in-house tools, participating in peer reviews, and supporting production with updates and clarifications.

Location: Jacksonville (FL), Fremont (CA), Vancouver (CAN). Periodic visits to multiple plant locations (2–3 times per year).

Salary: $61,440 - $86,000 per year

What you will do

• Interpret electrical schematics to create point-to-point wiring diagrams using AutoCAD and in-house palettes/blocks.
• Develop control panel layouts showing devices, DIN-rail, terminal blocks, and wireways.
• Perform self-checks and participate in peer reviews to ensure diagrams match schematics.
• Update drawings based on engineering changes and communicate with production on red-lines.
• Inspect panels on shop floor, escalate issues to design engineers, and provide manufacturability feedback.
• Join team meetings to share lessons learned and suggest process improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience interpreting electrical drawings like point-to-point wiring or schematics for production.
• Experience in panel-shop or industrial control drafting (switchgear a plus).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exposure to document control or ECO/EO systems beneficial.
