PHP/WordPress Engineer

PHP/WordPress Engineer (Roots ecosystem): Developing and maintaining full-stack PHP/WordPress solutions using Bedrock, Acorn, Sage with an accent on custom plugins, themes, ACF Gutenberg Blocks, and performance optimization. Focus on designing REST APIs, integrating third-party services, and applying clean architecture principles in Multisite environments.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain full-stack PHP/WordPress solutions using Roots ecosystem (Bedrock, Acorn, Sage)
• Build custom plugins, themes, and ACF Gutenberg Blocks
• Implement pixel-perfect responsive layouts with Blade, SCSS, JavaScript
• Design and integrate REST APIs and third-party services
• Optimize frontend and backend performance
• Work with WordPress Multisite, cron jobs, background processes, and custom WP-CLI commands

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as PHP Engineer
• Experience with WordPress, MySQL, Laravel
• Develop custom plugins and themes from scratch
• Deep WordPress core knowledge (actions, filters), OOP principles
• Git in team, JS ES6, HTML/SCSS, REST API endpoints, third-party integrations
• ACF Composer/Gutenberg Blocks, Multisite/WPML, caching, Composer
