What you will do
- Perform electrical installation, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and final commissioning of overhead cranes and hoists.
- Design electrical installation schematics and build required cabinets and temporary power panels using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Write detailed step-by-step installation procedures and execute pre-requisite checklists, including Point to Point and Ground Resistance Megger checks.
- Provide technical supervision to other electrical and mechanical engineers, technicians, and craft workers on site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with circuit breakers, transformers, motor starters, contactors, relays, and A.C./D.C. inverters.
- Collaborate with project managers to meet installation deadlines and ensure customer acceptance.
Requirements
- 4-year Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE, BSEET) or equivalent.
- 5 to 10 years of electrical installation engineering experience in field startups, wiring, and VFD setup.
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell and Siemens preferred).
- Strong knowledge of NEC electrical code and UL508A regarding panel layout and wiring.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for durations of 1-2 months at a time.
- Ability to climb vertical ladders of 50+ feet.

- Experience with Magnetek and Siemens VFD programming.
