What you will do

• Design and develop electrical control systems and PLC-based automation solutions.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials using AutoCAD.
• Program, test, and debug PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) for new equipment.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to integrate control systems.
• Support installation and commissioning of new control systems at customer or internal sites.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, including PLC design and programming.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D or AutoCAD Electrical for control design.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, sensors, and HMIs.
• Experience with control panel layout and wiring design.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Westminster, Maryland.

Nice to have

• Experience with HMI design and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70/79 or IEC standards.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.
