Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences (Kotlin Multiplatform)

Location: Columbia, SC, USA

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 USD per year, plus bonus and stock depending on experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain foundational services and cross-platform SDKs powering hirify.global’s product experience.
• Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs.
• Deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
• Optimize functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing by improving abstractions and algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience with strong systems thinking and end-to-end design skills.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform; Java experience is acceptable, but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Ability to design simple, reliable systems and APIs.
• Ability to work quickly, prioritize effectively, and decide what should ship immediately versus what requires more time.
• Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, product managers, and other product teams.

• Prior experience with GCP.
