Fabrication Mechanic - Polish Operator - 2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Laconia, New Hampshire, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Compensation: $1.00 shift differential for the 2nd shift

STS Aerospace, part of hirify.global, manufactures aerospace components and supports fabrication and finishing operations.

What you will do

• Inspect manufactured parts for defects and material-handling damage.
• Clean, deburr, polish, grit blast, and grind parts and tube surfaces.
• Operate Dremel tools, die grinders, deburring wheels, abrasive equipment, and grit blast cabinets.
• Change abrasive tooling, including rubberized abrasives and bench-grinder wheels.
• Use Flex-hone wire brushes and compressed air to finish and clean parts.
• Lift and move parts weighing up to 25 pounds as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training is acceptable.
• Ability to perform close-vision and focus-adjustment tasks.
• Must pass a respirator medical evaluation and fit test before starting respirator-related duties and annually thereafter.
• Must be able to wear a respirator for an average of 8 hours per workday.
• Reliable, regular, and punctual attendance is required.
