Senior IT Governance Specialist

Location: Remote or National Capital Region; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States

What you will do

• Enhance IT governance structures, strategy, process design, and regulatory documentation.
• Evaluate governance operations, identify improvement areas, and integrate change management practices.
• Deliver compliance and records management solutions, support decision-making forums, and provide training and knowledge transfer.
• Refine IT Governance Board strategy, processes, activities, and change-request procedures.
• Redesign the Architecture Review Board and implement automation while refreshing DMCC processes.
• Identify and assess AI use cases, coordinate architecture and project activities, and monitor applicable laws, regulations, policies, and MOUs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an information technology-related field and 10 years of professional IT experience.
• Eligible candidates include U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and H1B visa holders.
• Ability to successfully complete, pass, and maintain a public trust investigation.
• 10+ years of experience in data governance, data analysis, and data management, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
• Expertise in data cataloging, business glossary development, data lineage, metadata enrichment, stewardship engagement, and related technical platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, technical translation, and stakeholder management skills.
