Corporate Accountant

TL;DR

Corporate Accountant (Finance): Ensuring accurate, timely statutory and management reporting for corporate entities with an accent on multi-currency transactions, loans, share capital, dividends, and complex FX. Focus on maintaining robust ledger structures, supporting UK statutory accounts, and ensuring consistency across SAP, SAP BW, and Oracle EPM systems.

Location: Hybrid working from Hemel Hempstead office, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain management reports for central functions using ledger and headcount data.
• Own management reporting structures like cost centres and GL hierarchies for effective cost control and variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate cost recording in ledgers, advise on coding, and improve data quality with HR, T&E, and Master Data teams.
• Handle IFRS accounting for central entities, including loans, interest, equity transactions, dividends, and foreign exchange.
• Prepare UK statutory accounts and support internal/external audits.
• Maintain distributable reserves, registers for bonds/guarantees, and mapping tables for system consistency.
• Support forecasts, budgets, ad-hoc projects, and promote strong financial controls.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ accounting experience (at least 2 years in industry)
• Strong statutory reporting experience (UK statutory accounts preparation essential)
• Proven experience with ledger system (SAP preferred)
• Multi-currency accounting experience essential
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards
• Experience in head office or divisional finance within multinational organisation
• Comfortable in changing environment

Nice to have

• ACA or ACCA preferred
• CIMA considered with clear statutory accounting experience
