Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure): Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, multi-region Azure infrastructure for healthcare solutions with an accent on automation, regulatory compliance, and high availability. Focus on IaC using Terraform, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring HIPAA/SOC-compliant systems with robust monitoring and disaster recovery.

Location: Hybrid - at least 3 days/wk in Vancouver, BC, Canada. On-call 1 week per month at most.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Azure infrastructure supporting healthcare applications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, and InfoSec to deliver HIPAA/SOC-compliant platforms.
• Develop IaC with Terraform for automating Azure resource provisioning and deployment.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for agile development.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, incident response, and cost optimization for production systems.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, documentation, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in cloud infrastructure, systems admin, or DevOps.
• 3+ years hands-on with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Proven work in regulated environments, ideally healthcare with HIPAA/SOC.
• Strong security practices, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Terraform for IaC, Azure App Services, networking, storage.
• Containerization with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Azure certifications (Solutions Architect, Administrator).
