Senior Business Analyst – SAP Analytics (Transformation)

Location: Hybrid role based in Hungary, with remote work possible from any location in Hungary and occasional presence expected at the Budapest office and company events.

What you will do

• Elicit, analyze, and document requirements for analytics and reporting use cases through interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs.
• Moderate workshops and align business functions, IT teams, solution architects, and external partners.
• Analyze SAP ERP ECC processes and data flows, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, production, and logistics scenarios.
• Translate quantity and value flows into consistent KPI definitions, reporting requirements, semantic models, and functional specifications.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog, support release planning, and coordinate external consultants and developers from a functional perspective.
• Prepare UAT activities, test cases, defect triage, documentation, and user training materials.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Informatics, IT, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, or Functional Consultant in an SAP-centric environment.
• Strong understanding of SAP ERP ECC processes and data, especially quantity and value flows and their impact on reporting and analytics.
• Experience translating business process logic into KPI definitions and reporting requirements.
• Strong facilitation, communication, analytical thinking, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in complex, cross-functional, international, and virtual teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of analytics architectures, semantic models, data modeling, data quality, and KPI governance.
• Exposure to SAP BW, BW/4HANA, CDS-based concepts, or other SAP analytics components.
• Familiarity with transformation programs moving from legacy solutions to modern data and analytics platforms, including the SAP Business Data Cloud direction.
