What you will do

• Manage a technical team of Staff, Tech Lead, and Senior Engineers, focusing on enabling technical excellence and removing friction.
• Design and scale distributed backend services, data pipelines, and reliable production systems for a large-scale SaaS platform.
• Develop AI-native product capabilities, including intelligent agents and LLM reasoning integrated with financial data models.
• Implement AI-first development practices, utilizing tools like Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate the development lifecycle.
• Actively participate in architecture reviews, system design discussions, and high-level code reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience operating large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, APIs, and data models.
• Experience mentoring tech leads and growing senior engineers.
• Proficiency in using AI-assisted development environments such as Claude or Cursor.
• Location: Must be based in San Jose, CA or Los Angeles, CA for a hybrid 3-day on-site schedule.
