Accounting Analyst

TL;DR

Accounting Analyst: Support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and close processes with an accent on reconciliations, variance analysis, and compliance requirements. Location: 100% remote with working hours 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday-Friday. Excellent oral and written English required; resumes must be in English.

U.S.-based lender providing short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses lacking traditional funding.

What you will do

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports per accounting standards
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and investigate variances
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and records
• Support audit preparation, compliance, and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 1–3 years in accounting, financial analysis, or similar roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations, financial statements, and close cycles
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables); experience with ERP/accounting software (Sage preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Comfortable with productivity monitoring systems
