Tax Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory work for clients, including reviewing federal and multi-state partnership tax returns
• Lead client relationships on tax matters, supporting partners with service execution and extended services development
• Research technical tax matters, consult on special projects, and review tax-related information like provisions and depreciation schedules
• Proactively build client relationships, communicate effectively, and participate in business development with partners and marketing
• Manage, train, and develop staff, including performance reviews and leading multi-disciplined client service teams for account planning
• Prepare client correspondence and participate in firm-sponsored events for industry-specific clients

Requirements

• CPA certification required in the respective state in which practicing
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience
• 5+ years of job-related experience, including prior accounting/tax experience
• Manufacturing and retail distribution experience required
• Management/mentoring experience with staff and experience making recommendations to management
• Subject matter leader in accounting/tax services; prior public accounting experience desired
