Salary: $142,000 – $195,000

What you will do

• Lead client advisory engagements at a CFO-level, providing strategic financial and operational guidance.
• Drive change management to modernize service delivery via technology, standardized processes, and best practices.
• Oversee multiple client teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting engagements.
• Analyze financial KPIs and provide actionable recommendations to improve cash flow and profitability.
• Develop client budgets and forecasts while offering consultative support on financial strategy.
• Mentor staff and foster a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of Public Accounting or industry accounting experience.
• Mandatory professional experience with Tribal Government and its enterprises.
• Advanced understanding of governmental accounting, grant compliance, and audit requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Proven success leading teams through organizational change and process improvement.

Nice to have

• Tribal Government CFO level experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Intacct, Abila MIP, Netsuite, or Bill.com.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
