What you will do

• Assess site layout, navigation, and presentation to recommend usability improvements for a federal public health website.
• Design and refine web products and digital tools, ensuring alignment with agency standards across desktop and mobile.
• Conduct usability assessments, lead focus groups, and integrate user-centered feedback into designs.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and annotated concepts to visualize proposed layout changes.
• Collaborate with technical and content teams to implement approved design and interaction improvements.
• Optimize content discoverability and editing efficiency to enhance overall user interaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX design, web design, human-centered design, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in UX/UI, usability, or digital product design.
• Proven track record of improving navigation and mobile responsiveness for digital products.
• Experience with usability testing methods, including interviews, surveys, and prototype testing.
• Ability to communicate complex design rationales to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• This position is contingent upon successful contract award to hirify.global, LLC.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal or public-sector digital properties.
• Knowledge of Drupal design constraints, accessibility-aware design, and SEO principles.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools.
