Senior Employment Counsel

Location: Hybrid, with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in Mountain View, California or San Diego, California

Base pay: $227,000–$307,000 in Mountain View; $223,500–$302,500 in San Diego, plus eligibility for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise People & Places and business leaders on employment legal matters across the full employment lifecycle, from recruiting through separation.
• Serve as a strategic legal partner on centralized employment law matters.
• Represent hirify.global in employment claims and manage outside litigation counsel when needed.
• Lead or support special projects and workforce initiatives.
• Provide practical, business-oriented advice that enables informed risk-taking.
• Build cross-functional partnerships, influence senior stakeholders, and coordinate support across Employment Legal.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience advising on complex global workforce issues.
• Strong employment litigation background; in-house experience preferred.
• JD and active bar membership, with California membership preferred.
• Comfort using generative AI tools and willingness to champion responsible AI practices within Legal.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, judgment, and collaboration skills, including experience working with senior executives.
• High ethical standards and respect for privacy and confidentiality.
