Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY). Staff are expected to be in the office at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $365,000 - $1,245,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead commercial negotiations and Master Purchase Agreements for critical infrastructure including generators, switchgear, UPS systems, and cooling equipment.
• Audit partner procurement schedules to ensure optimal allocation and cost efficiency in constrained markets.
• Develop global inventory strategies involving warehousing, third-party logistics, and buffer stock models.
• Monitor global supply chain volatility and execute contingency plans to prevent critical project delays.
• Translate construction and capacity roadmaps into equipment forecasts and procurement pipelines.
• Collaborate with Finance to optimize inventory and capital deployment strategies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement.
• Proven track record of planning and managing data center electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical familiarity with generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS, batteries, and chillers.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, construction management, supply chain, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco or New York City to satisfy hybrid office requirements.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of total experience in sourcing and procurement.
• 5+ years of specialized experience in data center or critical environment infrastructure.
• Experience working with MEP integrators, OEMs, and equipment distributors.
• Knowledge of liquid cooling equipment (CDUs, dry coolers, manifolds) and battery energy storage systems.
