What you will do

• Lead engineering teams to identify and scope well-defined tasks and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Design scalable systems and architectural decisions to keep pace with rapid customer growth.
• Develop and deploy microservices and application code robust to global-scale data and unexpected traffic patterns.
• Mentor peers through 1:1s, design and code reviews, and continuous technical guidance.
• Promote operational excellence via meticulous testing, monitoring, and on-call support.
• Reduce technical debt and optimize application performance to accelerate feature velocity.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience building scalable high-volume, low-latency backend services.
• Proficiency in Python, Typescript, and native AWS (CDK, ECS, Step Functions, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFront).
• Familiarity with both raster and vector geospatial data.
• Must be based in the United States (confirmed via E-Verify).
• Empirical analytical approach to develop hypotheses, conduct spikes, and communicate findings.
• Strong mindset for high-quality code, including unit testing and proactive defect remedy.
