Senior Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Accountant (Finance): Supporting U.S. finance operations including payroll, accounts receivable, and month-end close with an accent on US GAAP compliance and account reconciliation. Focus on streamlining payroll processes, managing fixed assets, and ensuring audit readiness.

Location: Austin, TX. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Remote work options are not available.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, and month-end close tasks.
• Maintain accounts receivable and handle customer invoicing.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for banks, revenue, payroll, benefits, and employee reimbursements.
• Monitor GL accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls over payroll and compensation accounting.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits related to payroll and compensation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of payroll and/or general accounting experience.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP within a U.S.-based company.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and strong Excel skills.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is strictly required.

Nice to have

• Exposure to cost accounting or expense allocation practices.
• Understanding of equity or bonus compensation accounting.
• Experience with multi-entity corporations and international operations.
