Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 (US) / £57,444 – £67,018 (UK)

What you will do

• Lead the design and execution of dynamic, risk-based audit programs focusing on financial controls and compliance.
• Provide strategic insights from audit findings to support senior management decision-making.
• Build cross-functional consensus across departments to strengthen internal controls and financial accountability.
• Review audit work for quality and financial accuracy, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
• Monitor and validate the implementation of corrective action plans (CAPs) to address deficiencies.
• Continuously improve audit processes using new tools and data-driven approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of financial audit or financial management experience.
• Experience working in Not-for-Profit, INGO, or grant-supported organizations.
• Proficiency in GAAP, COSO Internal Control Framework, and risk management principles.
• US Remote: Must work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
• UK Candidates: Must have the right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications: CPA/CA, CIA, or CFE.
• Experience with PowerBI and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of IRC Business Processes and Financial Systems.
