Counselor - CADC / LADC

TL;DR

Counselor - CADC / LADC (Behavioral Health): Assist patients in achieving social, educational, and occupational goals while preparing for drug-free life through counseling and support with an accent on alcohol and drug abuse sessions, treatment planning, and crisis intervention. What you will do

• Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions and group sessions.
• Orient patients to treatment programs and collect social, educational, economic, and vocational information.
• Develop and revise patient treatment plans while maintaining comprehensive records.
• Make referrals, perform follow-ups, and provide crisis intervention.
• Coordinate care with community providers and participate in in-service training.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accrediting agency requirements.

Requirements

• Current CADC / LADC certification or equivalent state-required counseling credentials
• Human services related Bachelor's or Master's degree as per state requirements
• Knowledge of substance abuse treatment, human behavior, and rehabilitation
• Ability to handle confidential issues, make decisions under stress, and comply with regulations
• Experience in behavioral health preferred
