Salary: $120,000 - $180,000

What you will do

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert and consultant on all People compliance matters for leadership and Legal teams.
  • Design and own the People compliance program architecture, including risk assessments, audit calendars, and governance frameworks.
  • Manage specialized regulatory compliance covering ITAR programs, California employment law, and Cal/OSHA manufacturing obligations.
  • Develop training programs and reporting mechanisms to translate complex regulations into practical business solutions.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on compliance health, risk exposure, and program maturity.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of HR compliance experience, specifically within a federal contractor or defense/aerospace environment.
  • Hands-on experience with OFCCP, ITAR, E-Verify, and California employment law.
  • Proven ability to build compliance programs and governance structures from the ground up.
  • Strong program management skills for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for U.S. Department of State authorizations (ITAR requirements).

Nice to have

  • Experience responding to DCSA, OFCCP, or California DLSE audits.
  • Security clearance administration or FSO coordination experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMC workforce documentation.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments with Cal/OSHA obligations.
  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP.
