TL;DR

Staff Platform Engineer (AI/DevOps): Building and optimizing the developer-productivity substrate and AI agent infrastructure for a healthcare intelligence platform with an accent on CI/CD, dev environments, and verification systems. Focus on creating high-reliability internal tooling and safe tool access for agent-assisted development to accelerate shipping cycles.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco office, 3x/week

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 per year

hirify.global is building an AI intelligence platform that reduces administrative burdens for healthcare providers to restore humanity to healthcare.

What you will do

  • Own the local developer experience, including devboxes, Docker workflows, and secrets management.
  • Optimize build, test, and CI pipelines to reduce flakiness and increase feedback loop speed.
  • Develop verification infrastructure for high-risk workflows such as schema changes and API contracts.
  • Create "paved-road" internal tooling, including CLIs, scaffolds, and migration helpers.
  • Implement scoped, auditable access for AI agents to local DBs and CI logs while maintaining PHI security.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with Staff-level impact across teams.
  • Deep expertise in building developer productivity, platform, or CI/CD systems.
  • Strong backend fundamentals in TypeScript, Rust, Go, or Python.
  • Proficiency with AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
  • Must be based in or willing to work from the San Francisco office 3x/week.
