What you will do

• Design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure including networking, IAM, Kubernetes, databases, streaming, storage, and distribution.
• Design and implement build pipelines, branching strategies, and release management tooling for a growing engineering team.
• Design, implement, and scale cloud security practices including CI and deployment scans, access controls, and compliance.
• Help implement fast and scalable application testing pipelines including end-to-end UI tests and load tests.
• Improve incident response by enhancing observability, runbooks, and incident response muscle across the organization.
• Evangelize, document, and train the engineering team on cloud-native design strategies and tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years of infrastructure-as-code experience in a cloud-first organization.
• Experience building on Kubernetes and scaling compute services, including related cloud-native technologies.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes cluster management, including version upgrades and service mesh management.
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling and practices at scale.
• Comfortable implementing and securing services in Google Cloud Platform as Infrastructure as code.
• Experience with backend languages (e.g. Python, GoLang, Node, Rust).
• Must be willing to travel up to 10%
