What you will do

• Lead the global tax function and provide hands-on leadership to the Tax team.
• Oversee global compliance filings, quarterly financial statement tax provisions, and transfer pricing management.
• Manage global sales tax return filings, reconciliations, payments, and government audit correspondence.
• Provide internal tax advisory guidance to various business units and functional areas across the organization.
• Collaborate with Legal and M&A teams on potential transactions and post-acquisition integration.
• Monitor and report on existing and proposed tax legislations impacting global operations.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of progressive tax experience, combining public accounting and corporate tax.
• CPA designation.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian and US taxation.
• Experience with international tax issues, transfer pricing, and government grants.
• Strong people management skills including mentoring, coaching, and developing teams.
• English: Fluent proficiency required as the working language.

Nice to have

• Experience with public companies, including IFRS and SOX control compliance.
• Masters of Taxation or equivalent in-depth tax course.
• Familiarity with European and APAC taxes and the Pillar 2 framework.
• Proficiency in written and spoken French.
• Experience with NetSuite, TaxPrep, Salesforce, and Avalara.
