Location: Hybrid (3 days a week in office in Montreal, Canada)

What you will do
- Lead the global tax function and provide hands-on leadership to the Tax team.
- Oversee global compliance filings, quarterly financial statement tax provisions, and transfer pricing management.
- Manage global sales tax return filings, reconciliations, payments, and government audit correspondence.
- Provide internal tax advisory guidance to various business units and functional areas across the organization.
- Collaborate with Legal and M&A teams on potential transactions and post-acquisition integration.
- Monitor and report on existing and proposed tax legislations impacting global operations.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of progressive tax experience, combining public accounting and corporate tax.
- CPA designation.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and US taxation.
- Experience with international tax issues, transfer pricing, and government grants.
- Strong people management skills including mentoring, coaching, and developing teams.
- English: Fluent proficiency required as the working language.
Nice to have
- Experience with public companies, including IFRS and SOX control compliance.
- Masters of Taxation or equivalent in-depth tax course.
- Familiarity with European and APAC taxes and the Pillar 2 framework.
- Proficiency in written and spoken French.
- Experience with NetSuite, TaxPrep, Salesforce, and Avalara.
