Training Solutions Execution Lead

Location: Ottawa, Canada; hybrid work model with approximately 2 days per week onsite

Salary: $91,000–$136,400 CAD per year

What you will do

• Execute training strategies across the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages of the ADDIE lifecycle.
• Work with subject matter experts to gather and analyze data, conduct cognitive task analysis, and define competencies.
• Lead training development teams by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and coordinating workloads.
• Track delivery schedules and maintain alignment with project timelines and program requirements.
• Identify, escalate, and manage scope and schedule risks while reporting project metrics and status.
• Coordinate communication between development teams, project and training managers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in an education-related field with relevant professional experience.
• 10+ years of instructional design experience or equivalent related experience.
• Strong knowledge of training development methodologies, including ADDIE, and experience executing complex training solutions.
• Proven leadership, team coordination, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain EHC/Secret Security Clearance, ITAR, and CG clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or postgraduate certification in Educational Technology, Adult Education, or Instructional Design.
• Senior Instructional Designer experience and knowledge of CFITES or competency-based training frameworks.
• Experience in Defense and Security training environments, Royal Canadian Air Force training programs, or cognitive task analysis.
• Project management experience, including forecasting and reporting.
• Bilingual English/French communication skills.
