Senior Design Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Design Engineer (Fleet Products): Designs, develops, builds, and implements new products, components, or technologies for hirify.global Fleet Products including Command for Hauling, Dozing, Drills, ADS, Safety with an accent on researching materials, prototyping, testing, and supplier development. Focus on developing functional requirements, translating into detail design documents, and participating in buy-build analysis.

Location: Onsite five days a week in Tucson, Arizona or Mossville, Illinois, United States. Domestic relocation available to Tucson, AZ. Visa sponsorship available.

Salary: $112,710 - $169,060

What you will do

• Research new materials and competitive products; organize, coordinate, and execute building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
• Assist supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and performance; oversee drafting and testing specialists.
• Develop and document functional requirements, translate into detail design documents; participate in buy-build analysis.
• Participate in proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.

Requirements

• Degree in accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Analytical Thinking: determine root causes and create solutions.
• Effective Communications: transmit, receive, and interpret ideas accurately.
• Managing Multiple Priorities: handle concurrent objectives and prioritize effectively.
• Technical Excellence: develop solutions to significant technical challenges.
• Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: produce, analyze, simulate, and test product designs.
• Product Design - MFG and Product Design and Development: convert requirements into designs from concept to production.

Nice to have

• Experience with CREO – Cabling/harness Tool, Electrical Harness/Cable Routing, Electrical Drawing Creation.
• Experience with CREO – Sheet metal, solid modeling, contouring, light fabrications drawing creation.
• Teamcenter Vis Mockup or Workflow Experience.
• ELI or ELE Schematic experience.
• Familiarity or experience with hirify.global Products.
