What you will do

• Operate and maintain systems from the Body Shop through to General Assembly shipment.
• Edit programming for manufacturing technology and oversee robotic applications within the paint shop.
• Analyze product and technology to develop optimal methods for vehicle painting and assembly.
• Troubleshoot specialized equipment in collaboration with production and maintenance personnel.
• Recommend and validate process improvements regarding sustainability, quality, and cost.
• Work with cross-functional teams to reduce energy consumption and waste.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automation, Automotive, Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Robotics) or 3 years of technical experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime.
• Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working specifically in a paint shop.
• Controls experience in PLC and robotics software/hardware programming.
• Experience developing equipment layouts and automated conveyance systems.
• Knowledge of statistical methods applied to experimental design and process development.
