TL;DR

Head of Sales - France (Rail/Transport): Take full commercial ownership of strategic customers within the rail and transport sector with an accent on key account leadership and new business development. Focus on driving revenue growth, leading senior customer relationships, shaping complex deals, and representing hirify.global at executive level.

Location: Hybrid role based in Saint-Ouen office (Paris, Île-de-France, France) with mix of working from home each week. Expect 25%-50% travel, including onsite in train depots or shunting yards. Ability to travel within Europe: 10%-20%.

What you will do

  • Own and develop long-term strategic relationships with key customers at senior/executive level, defining multi-year account strategies.
  • Drive new business development in existing accounts and targeted new customers, identifying and shaping opportunities through contract award.
  • Lead commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and bid processes, ensuring compliance and high-quality proposals.
  • Maintain accountability for revenue, margin, backlog, and forecasts; produce reports and update CRM regularly.
  • Lead business reviews, customer governance, and act as escalation point; collaborate with internal teams for seamless execution.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written); Spanish or German a plus.
  • Senior experience in strategic account management and complex solution selling in rail, transport, ICT, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of growing major accounts and winning new business.
  • Strong commercial, contractual, negotiation skills; technically credible for digital/connectivity solutions.
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, ICT, or related; clean driving licence; willingness to travel regularly.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with industrial and maintenance processes in railway environment.
