Location: Hybrid (Macquarie Park, NSW) - 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

What you will do

• Define and maintain Service Provider DNS architecture, standards, and build patterns for authoritative and recursive services.
• Act as the primary technical authority and L3 escalation point for complex DNS incidents and deep diagnostics.
• Own the DNS security strategy and assurance, specifically focusing on DNSSEC operational readiness.
• Establish telemetry and monitoring requirements to ensure the operational readiness of DNS services.
• Provide SME expertise across F5 BIG-IP DNS and open-source DNS software servers.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, automation, and security stakeholders to achieve end-to-end outcomes.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of DNS protocol behavior and experience operating large-scale production DNS services.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing F5 BIG-IP DNS.
• Solid understanding of IP networking basics as they relate to DNS delivery.
• Practical knowledge of Linux runtime basics for DNS services.
• Proven ability to function as a senior SME and technical authority in 24x7 production environments.
• Strong incident leadership skills with experience producing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
