What you will do

• Lead remote technical commissioning of 3D stereo-vision sensors, coordinating with on-site electricians for physical mounting.
• Configure IP addresses, VLANs, and network settings to integrate camera hardware into retail network infrastructures.
• Establish secure cloud data transmission using VPNs, firewall rules, and port forwarding.
• Perform advanced software-based calibration, including height mapping and zone definition for sub-centimeter accuracy.
• Validate counting accuracy against live traffic and ensure clean data populates the proprietary platform dashboards.
• Maintain meticulous installation records and provide escalated remote troubleshooting for post-deployment issues.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in core networking: TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, and firewall configuration.
• Proven experience installing and commissioning IP cameras, IoT sensors, or similar network-connected hardware.
• Ability to interpret network diagrams, cable schedules, and architectural drawings without supervision.
• Aptitude for diagnosing complex hardware, software, and network issues independently.
• Professional communication skills for interacting with high-level client IT personnel and contractors.
• Availability to work AEST hours (starting 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM).

Nice to have

• Experience with people counting systems, occupancy sensors, or video analytics in retail.
• Familiarity with operational constraints and security protocols of shopping centers or retail stores.
• Certification or degree in Telecommunications or Information Technology (Networking).
• Working understanding of SOAP/REST APIs for verifying data payloads.
