ISO 14298 Security Manager

TL;DR

ISO 14298 Security Manager (Security Printing): Establishing, implementing, and maintaining site’s Security Printing Management System compliant with ISO 14298:2021 with an accent on protecting high-value products and sensitive information across design, production, storage, and distribution. Focus on leading risk assessments, designing controls, conducting audits, and managing incident response.

Location: Onsite at Crowther, Washington (Tyne and Wear, UK) manufacturing facility and Leicester R&D laboratory. Regular travel to Leicester (10%) & limited travel to group sites.

What you will do

• Lead site security program aligned with ISO 14298, chair management reviews, track KPIs and improvements.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, EHS, IT, Legal/Compliance, and R&D to embed security into operations and changes.
• Own SPMS documentation, risk assessments across physical, info, personnel, product, and supply-chain domains.
• Manage controls for perimeter/access, personnel vetting, material handling, validated processes, and digital assets.
• Plan internal/external audits, lead corrective actions, deliver training, and handle incident investigations.
• Monitor suppliers, serve as customer security contact, manage business continuity, and report to leadership.

Requirements

• Significant experience in security management within security printing, identity documents, banknotes, product authentication, or regulated manufacturing.
• Proven track record implementing/maintaining ISO 14298, ISO 27001/9001 management systems and leading audits/certifications.
• Deep understanding of ISO 14298 requirements and practical implementation in production.
• Strong knowledge of physical/information/supply-chain security and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management; proficient with Microsoft 365 and security systems.
• Professional certifications (ISO Management Systems, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, ASIS CPP/PSP) advantageous.
